divorce out of the blue

by Dana

The Question

My husband and I had great sex, probably the best we ever had. The following week he asked for a divorce. I am so confused. He said that he was thinking about divorce for awhile.

I don't understand, if he wanted a divorce then why is he still sharing my bed?

Noel's response

I realize I am generalizing, but that being said, a man's approach to sex can be quite different than a woman's. A man can have sex without feeling close emotionally, whereas as I understand it (not being a woman), a woman usually has to feel emotionally close before she can enjoy sex.
