his space is it the right thing to do?

by cheryl
(chicago)

when a man is going thru a midlife crisis and tells you he wants to be left alone, and you do leave him alone for the most part how will you know if him isolating himself from you is not drawing him closer to the one he was caught cheating on you with. it seems to be a double edged sword. help me please

Noel's response

You don't give much information about your situation. Was he caught cheating years ago, or recently?

One thing I do know is that 'pursuing' someone, whether a man or a woman, can drive them further away.

You might try leaving him alone, and getting on with your life, and letting him know you are doing that. It may sound counter-intuitive, but sometime being more independent can make you more desirable to a person.
