Husband loves me, but says he feels numb..

Hi there, My husband WHO IS 39 and I moved to another country 6 months ago, we have been together 19 years and married for 12 this November, we have always had a strong relationship with good communication.. we sold our business of 16 years to make the move to this tropical paradise in the hope to start a new business. At this point nothing has come of our plans to do this..

I noticed some weeks ago he was becoming ever more selfish and when I confronted him about this he said , "I feel numb" I asked him if he wanted me to leave and give him space, but he said NO.. He will try and work out how he is feeling.. I feel alone and confused, I KNOW HE LOVES ME... I just want to help him, he is my best friend, what have I done wrong??

Noel's response

You have not done anything wrong. It is not about you. He sounds as though he is struggling with a midlife transition.

About the only thing I can suggest is that you support him without trying to 'fix' him.
