Insane Husbands

My husband will be 49 this year. Having enjoyed a close relationship with him for 20 years, I was broadsided recently by his mistrust and jealousy. I've caught him in several lies lately, and when confronted, he lies again. His accusations of infidelity with men that I "say" are my cousins, have caused a huge rift.

Is there anything that a man might go through, linked to his age, that would cause him to go crazy? "Cause he is! Crazy, I mean.

He will roam around at night, peaking through the windows, (from the outside)!
When caught, he is always looking for a tool, left outside, or he simply makes up another story.

I'm at my wits end, and don't know how much more of this I can take! I don't know what to do, and he won't talk about it.

Noel's response

It sounds as though he is quite paranoid. You don't mention whether these men he talks about are real, or are they men he fantasizes. If you have gone out with men who are your 'cousins', are they truly your cousins? In other words, are you lying to him about anything?

I am not a mental health practitioner. You might talk to a professional about his behaviour.
