mid life relationships

I am a 55 year old widower I am interested in asking out a 46 year old woman. I have been out of the dating scene for over 25 years. We know each other but i have been hesitant to ask her. Any advice?

It is just like when you were young... take your courage in your hands and ask her, knowing the answer could be 'no', but then again it could be yes.
