moods swings

What does my husband have so many mood swings during midlife crisis? what is making this happen to him? Do you know how long this will last? It has been 7 months and he has put me on an emotional roller coaster.

Mood swings, especially irritability, seem to go with midlife transitions. Some slight changes in hormone (testosterone) production may be part of it, and the rest just seems to be an aspect of aging.
