You don't mention how old your wife is, so I don't know whether she is going through menopause, or a midlife transition in her 30s or 40s.

If she is in menopause, chances are she will not be interested in sex, although she may be willing to have sex with you if you ask.

I see no reason why you should not have sex with your wife, if she is a willing participant.
