WILL THIS WORK OUT?

He moved in with him mom to work thru his own issues. He says he loves and misses us but he needs to decide if single or family life is right for him. What are the chances of this working out for us? He is also a very heavy drinker that has been a huge problem leading up to his leaving.

If he does not get sober, even if he comes back I doubt it will work out. I suggest you find an Alanon meeting and start attending, in order to learn how alcohol affects the whole family.
